Pre-order terms
What applies when you order goods here on the website: what you commit to, what you pay and what happens if something runs out.
Last updated 6 September 2026
An order is a reservation, not a purchase
When you submit an order here you are reserving goods — you are not buying them. Nothing is charged, no invoice is sent, and you have taken on no financial commitment. The purchase happens when you are standing in the shop paying for it.
The confirmation email means we have received the order. It is not a receipt and not a guarantee that every item is in stock — see the section on goods running out.
Payment happens at pickup
You pay in the shop when you collect. We never ask for card details on the website and take no payment here. If you see a page asking for your card number in our name, it is not us.
Weighed goods are charged by actual weight
Fish and shellfish are sold by the kilo or by the hectogram. The total you see when ordering is therefore an estimate — we cannot cut exactly 500 grams of salmon off a whole side.
We pack as close to your quantity as we can, and you pay for what is actually in the bag, at the same price per kilo as shown on the site. The difference is normally a few tens of grams either way. If you need an exact amount, write it in the message and we will do our best.
Prices
The prices on the website are the ones that apply when you order. Fresh fish is priced by what the auction cost, so a price can move between the moment you put an item in the basket and the moment you submit. If that happens you are shown the new price and asked to accept it before the order goes through — we never change a price quietly.
All prices include VAT.
If something runs out
We buy by the catch, not from a warehouse. Sometimes what we hoped for simply does not arrive.
If we cannot supply something you ordered we contact you before the pickup day — by phone or email — and suggest either something similar or dropping the item. You only pay for what you actually take home. We never substitute one item for another without asking first.
An item not arriving gives no compensation beyond removing it from the order — but if we are the ones telling you something is missing, you may always cancel the whole order, even with less than a day to go before collection. The cancellation deadline below does not apply when we are the ones changing the contents.
Collection
Collect on the day you chose, during shop opening hours. Bring the order number from the confirmation — it is the fastest way for us to find your bag.
If you cannot make it that day, call us and we will move it. An order that is not collected, with no word from you, is kept until closing time that day.
After that, nothing further happens. We send no reminder, no invoice and no fee — you have paid nothing and we add no cost. What we packed is fresh produce that cannot be held over to the next day, so the goods may end up being sold across the counter instead. If you want to order again, you are just as welcome as before.
Cancellation
You can cancel up until 24 hours before collection. Call +46 44 24 91 21 or email info@rokeriet.se. It costs nothing, because you have paid nothing.
The day is not a fee window, it is the time we need: the fish is bought in against the orders, and in that last day it has already been bought. The earlier we know, the less fish we order for nothing — which is the entire reason it is free.
If you order for tomorrow there may of course be less than a day left the moment you press send. Then — and any other time you are late telling us — call anyway. We charge no fee and send no invoice for a late cancellation; we would simply rather know, so the fish ends up in the counter instead of in the bin.
Right of withdrawal and complaints
The statutory right of withdrawal exists for purchases made at a distance: you order, pay and have the goods sent to you without ever having seen them. That is why the law gives you fourteen days to change your mind — so you get to see in reality what you only saw on a screen.
That is not how this works. The order on the website is a reservation: no payment is made and no contract of sale is concluded. The purchase only happens when you are standing at the counter, seeing the fish, having it weighed and paying for it — an in-shop purchase, exactly as if you had walked in off the street without ordering anything. An in-shop purchase is not a distance contract, so the distance-selling right of withdrawal does not apply. (Fresh food is in any case exempt from the right of withdrawal even in genuine distance selling, because it cannot be sent back.)
In practice you lose nothing by it. You can cancel free of charge up to a day before collection, and you are never obliged to accept or pay for something you change your mind about once you are standing in the shop.
None of this affects your right to complain about a faulty item. If something is defective you have the same rights as in any other in-shop purchase. If you are not happy, tell us — preferably at the counter or the same day. We will sort it out. In the unlikely event that we cannot agree, you can turn to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes, arn.se.
Allergies and ingredients
We cook and smoke on site, in a kitchen that handles fish, shellfish, gluten, egg, milk, mustard and sesame. We therefore cannot promise that an item is entirely free of traces of something else.
If you have an allergy, write it in the message and ask us at the counter when you collect. We would rather answer once too often.
Your data
The name, phone number and email address you give us are used only to pack and hand over the order. How they are handled and how long they are kept is set out in the privacy policy.
