Our well-stocked cheese counter

Cheese galore — isn't that wonderful? We've brought in a full selection with both tried-and-tested varieties and plenty of new discoveries. Since spring 2025, we've been working with a new cheese supplier so we can fulfil more wishes and in many cases also offer lower prices on several cheese varieties.

On the shelves in our shop you'll of course find plenty of delicious crackers, marmalades and fine drinks that go perfectly with our cheeses. Don't miss the fantastic Italian Nocellara olives or the crispy Valencia almonds for your cheese board!

There are also new arrivals in our charcuterie section — beer sausage, tapas sausage, salamis and air-dried pork loin are just a few examples. We're happy to slice any products you'd like. Just tell our staff what you'd like sliced and roughly how thick, and we'll sort it out on the spot.

Some new arrivals and our favourites:

Beemster goat cheese — Beemster goats produce, just like Beemster cows, a deliciously rich, creamy milk. Here we have a cheese that's the perfect introduction for anyone who hasn't yet found a goat cheese they love: semi-soft texture, full flavour and a subtle sweetness. Wonderful both on a cheese board and as a spread.

Smoked cheddar — a real English treasure. Applewood Smoked Cheddar, created in 1965, is a traditional farmhouse cheddar from Ilchester with a delicate smoky flavour and wonderfully soft texture. A light paprika seasoning is sprinkled on top to give it a beautiful amber-coloured rind.

Delice de Bourgogne — delightful triple crème cheese from Burgundy. Wonderfully creamy, rich, soft and fairly mild white mould cheese with a little extra cream added to the cheese paste.

Montagnolo — from Bavaria in south-eastern Germany comes this premium dessert cheese, aged to perfection. A delightfully creamy, slightly buttery blue cheese, medium-strength and fairly firm in texture, carefully handcrafted in a cold ageing process. Montagnolo affiné was named the world's best cheese in 2013 at the World Cheese Awards in England, and has won awards annually since 2011.

Chèvre Roves de Garrigues — a small, neat goat cheese of approx. 80 grams from the Mediterranean region towards Provence, made from pasteurised goat's milk from the 'Roves' breed. This breed produces very little milk, approx. 2 litres per day compared to the normal 5, which makes the milk unusually full-flavoured. You'll find notes of thyme and rosemary from the pastures of Provence — meadows called garrigues in French.

Midsommerost — delightful hard cheese seasoned with sunshine, warm breezes and birdsong. Crispy and delicious, everyone's favourite on the midsummer table. From Thise dairy in Denmark.

Cambozola — a very popular and delightfully creamy white and blue mould cheese, a blend of gorgonzola and camembert. The flavour is mild, buttery and soft with a certain saltiness, but becomes stronger with longer ageing. The blue mould flavour is not very pronounced, so it suits those who prefer milder blue cheeses.

… and more than 20 other cheeses, sausages and plenty of other delicacies.
